When the disciples of John the Baptist asked Jesus where He was staying, Jesus answered them, “Come, and you will see.”
They did not only see where Jesus was staying, but saw the Messiah Himself.
The disciples may have seen something where Jesus was staying. Or they may have gotten to know Jesus more. But, those who saw the Messiah were the ones who came and followed Jesus.
“He said to them, ‘Come, and you will see.’” — John 1:39
Today, the Gospel reminds us that we will see who God truly is only when we follow Him.
We will see what we are seeking only when we have faith in the One whom we cannot see.
We jump first before we understand. We take the leap first and believe before we comprehend.
When we come to follow Him, what we are looking for, what we are seeking will be revealed.
For He called us not to see, but to come follow Him.
Have you ever wondered what the future holds? Have you ever wondered what God’s will is for your life? Follow Him and you will see.
