Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul, one of the greatest, if not the greatest, evangelizers who ever lived.
Like St. Paul, we are also called by Jesus to proclaim the Gospel:
He said to them, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature.” — Mark 16:15
There is a pain in my heart as I read this verse today. Because while I want to proclaim the Gospel to the whole world like St. Paul did, especially through this blog, I still have not even shared what God has done for me to our neighbors who live just across the street.
How can I follow in the footsteps of St. Paul, let alone those of Jesus, if I cannot even share the Gospel to the people who have been our neighbors and friends for nearly three decades now?
Today, let us heed the call of Jesus and proclaim the Gospel and what God has done in our lives to the world. But, let us start with the people around us — our families, our neighbors, our workmates, or our friends.
Let us start somewhere. Let us start small. Let us start with the people God entrusted us with.
Suppose God calls you to share His Gospel today, who comes to your mind?
P.S. I listened to this wonderful podcast by Jeff Cavins on how to proclaim the Gospel to others. You can either listen to the podcast or read the show notes if you also with to learn how to proclaim the Gospel.
