In today’s Gospel reading, Jesus warns us about false prophets:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will know them.
“Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit.” — Matthew 7:15-18
Who are you following? Who are you paying attention to?
Let us follow people not by how they look, what they own or possess, or even what they say.
Let us follow people by what they do. More importantly, by how they live.
As Christians and Catholics, we are also called to bear fruit. Let us live like Jesus. Being faithful is not just about reading the Bible or knowing our verses or going to Mass (although they are important). It is about living our faith and doing something meaningful for God and our neighbors. Most of all, being faithful is about love.
What fruit are you bearing?
P.S. Hi everyone! I am sorry I was out for a while. I missed posting for the first time this year. Our little girl was born almost two weeks ago. We had to adjust for a while (and catch up with work). But, the important thing is that everything went well and my wife and our baby are safe and healthy. Our pregnancy wasn’t easy, but thank you for your prayers!
