Every Sunday, I take a break from writing about Work, Life, and Changing the World. Instead, I write about my imperfect understanding of God’s perfect love as my personal mission to spread His word and His love and to make a difference. You can read more Mission posts here.
For some reason, I'm having a hard time to write a reflection today. Can I share with you my short prayer today instead? Feel free to join me.
But before we pray, I want you to reflect on this song:
Thank You for this day. Thank You for the life you've given me.
Thank You for the past week and thank You for the gift of a new week.
This past week, I may have forgotten the real reason why I'm doing things, why I'm chasing after my dreams, and why I'm living my life. I may have forgotten that the real reason is You.
At the end of the day, it's not about me.
It's about You.
It's about glorifying You.
It's about loving You.
Father, I may forget time and time again. But, help me remember You when things are going well in my life. Help me remember You when things are rough.
Help me remember You, see You, and feel You in every moment of my life.
Father, I offer everything to You. I give You all of me, the best of me. Use me more. Use me for Your purpose. Use me to glorify You. Use me to love You and to love others.
Take away my possessions, take away my achievements, take away my relationships, and take away everything in my life. I will still continue to worship, praise, and love You with everything I have left.
I offer my whole life to You. This day. This week. And all the days to come.
