Here’s what I learned from a friend yesterday: If you want to be at peace, you have to be deliberate.
It’s up to you to slow down.
It’s up to you to take a deep breath and clear your mind.
It’s up to you to be in the moment.
It’s up to you to appreciate what’s right in front of you.
It’s up to you to be grateful.
It’s up to you to open yourself to God’s love.
Right now, worries and anxieties may be cluttering your mind.
The good news is, you have the choice (and the power) to un-clutter it. Slow down. Walk slowly. Talk slowly. Eat slowly. Work slowly. Pray slowly. Your mind also follows your body.
And it’s only when you’re at peace that you hear God’s voice.
