Although, being impressive does work.
But, it only works for a couple of times, especially in the beginning.
It doesn’t work long-term. After a while, we expect you to always be impressive. That’s a good thing. It’s always important to raise the bar.
But many times, we also get tired of “impressive.” We can feel if you’re just trying to impress us.
Our being impressed is also beyond your control. You may come up with something which you think is impressive. But, what if we are not impressed? Will you continue creating something amazing? Something that will impress you?
Instead, be helpful. We never get tired of being helped.
It works long-term as well. Keep helping us and we’d love checking out your work and your art. You don’t even have to tell us.
Being helpful is also within your control. You can always do your work or create your art with the purpose to help. Once you do that, it’s almost certain that at least one person will be helped by it. After all, the first person you helped with your work or your art is yourself. So, it must have worked, right?
Keep helping us and you’ll also raise the bar. You’ll raise our expectation. But, that means we want more from you.
Before you do your work today or create your art today, we want to ask you:
“What’s in it for us?”
