… is always the next step.
Don’t try to overcome what isn’t there yet.
It’s okay to prepare for what’s coming. But, you have to face what’s in front of you first.
Maybe you’re trying to write a book. Don’t think about the writing process. Turn on your computer first. Then, open your writing app (Word, Pages, or whatever). Once you have a blank page in front of you, that’s the only time you think about the writing process.
Maybe you’re overwhelmed by the fear of a client or customer’s potentially saying no. First things first. Get out of bed, get your phone, dial his number, and press the “Call” button.
"Cross the bridge when you get there."
Most of the time, when you take the next step and, then, the next, you’ll build momentum. Pretty soon, you’ll already be running. Everything becomes easier and faster.
For now, just take the first step.
