When You're Not Feeling Perfect

It’s one of those days when I’m not feeling perfect. Again. I started this day feeling down, discouraged, and doubtful that I’m going to make it in my freelancing career and in my dream to become a full-time artist. No, not the one you see on TV, but I’m not ruling out the possibility. I want to be a full-time artist—by creating blog posts, articles, and books.

But, during the 6AM mass this morning, I felt that God made me realize that when I’m not feeling perfect, it’s okay.

When you’re not feeling perfect, that's okay as well. That's perfectly normal.

Learn to embrace your every emotion. Learn to accept that life's simply not perfect.

There will be times when you feel sad, discouraged, doubtful, or tired. Love yourself anyway.

Learn to dance in the rain.

Learn to be excellent even when you don't feel like it.

Learn to love yourself and others even when you feel like you don't have any love to give.

Learn how to do your best even when you're not at your best.

Learn to laugh at yourself even, when deep inside, you're crying.

Learn to accept that you're not perfect, that life's not perfect. And that's perfectly fine. Smile anyway. Laugh anyway. Love anyway. Be excellent anyway.

Learn to get up even when you're feeling down.

Learn to be victorious even when you're feeling defeated.

Learn to be optimistic even when you're feeling discouraged.

Embrace yourself in the fullness of your emotions. Embrace life in its entirety—the ups and downs, the hills and valleys.

Today may not be the perfect day. But, shall we do our best today? Let's go.
