The holidays are over. Okay, not really because today is still a special non-working holiday. But on Monday, it’s time to get back to reality.
To be honest, I still like the normal days more than the holidays. Why? Because I love my work. Maybe not my day job, but I love my little writing career.
During the holidays, I wasn’t able to write much because I had to spend a lot of time with my family. But now, I’m back to my regular load of writing at least 1,000 words a day! (Thanks to Chris Guillebeau’s advice on how to write 300,000 words in one year.)
When you love what you do, you no longer need to escape from reality because you don’t need to run away from doing the things you love.
That’s why more than anything else, more than the money, the job title, the promotion, or recognition, you have to find and do the work that you love.
Like what Confucius said, "Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life."
How about you? Are somehow glad that the holidays are over? Or do you feel that the holidays were short? Find work that you love to do!
Oh by the way, even when it’s not a holiday, we try to bond as a family. That’s why every day seems like a holiday. We don’t need holidays to get together.
