We can read all the books, take all the courses, and purchase all the guides we want. But, only we can do the work that’s needed to be done.
When I was starting out, I purchased almost all the book and courses I could find in business, blogging, marketing, freelancing, and even drawing. I learned and learned and learned and learned some more. But, I seldom made time for action. That was a big mistake of mine (and which I still actually continue to make).
In our journey, we often look for a map. And it comes in the form of books and online courses. There’s nothing wrong with that, unless we begin to believe that spending more money equates to having more success. No, we can’t buy our way to where we want to go.
Sure, it’s important to keep on learning. But, at some point, we have to realize that other people cannot do our work for us.
No one will write the book we want to write for us.
No one will create the masterpiece we want to create for us.
No one will start that business we want to start for us.
And no advice can ever eliminate the uncertainty we need to face in our journey. And that’s why I pray that we listen not to the people who promise certainty, but to those teach us to work and to dance with our fears.
