You don't have to put up with the traffic, the pollution, and the poor public transportation.
You don't have to put up with a job which you don't like or pays you less than you feel you deserve.
You don't have to put up with a business that's stressing you out more than giving you joy.
You don't have to put up with a relationship that's simply not working. Unless, of course, you are already married.
Unless you're putting up with something or someone because of love, you don't have to put up with anything in this life.
A word of caution though: It is actually harder not to put up with anything than to put up with it. It requires more initiative, more commitment, more courage, and more action.
Not putting up with the the traffic, the pollution, and the poor public transportation means finding ways to work remotely, having the initiative to ask your boss to work from home on some days, or starting your own business so you can escape the hassles of commuting daily during rush hours.
Not putting up with your job means having the courage to quit it, to find a new one, and to face uncertainties once more.
Not putting up with a business that's failing means swallowing your pride, accepting that things are simply not working, and looking for new and better opportunities.
Not putting up with a relationship means leaving someone who has already become a big part of your life. But, you still have to let go of the relationship if it is no longer healthy for either of you.
Are you ready not to put up with the things that are bringing you down? It is way tougher and requires a lot more from you. But, it's definitely worth it.
