How long have you been in bondage? How long have you been suffering? How long have you been struggling with sin, with evil, with sickness, with depression, with problems, with anything that is weighing you down?
Today’s scripture tells the story of Jesus saving a man who was in bondage and tormented by evil spirits night and day.
When God came down and visited His people, He did not come to judge. He came to save and to redeem. He came to heal those who were suffering. He came to free those who were oppressed and in bondage.
Today, I believe God wants to remind us that He is in our midst. And today, He wants us to declare that today is our day of redemption.
Today, let us declare that we are free from our bondages of sin, of sickness, of evil, of depression, and of problems.
It’s not just wishful thinking. It’s believing in a God who is Almighty and who is in control of all His creations.
Let us test Him no further by asking, “Is He in our midst or not?” like what the Israelites did at Massah and Meribah. In every moment, let us believe that He is in our midst. He is with us, in us, and among us.
And He is here with us to redeem us.
