Today, I finally finished the first draft of my online resume. This is where I will link my profiles to when I start looking for work online. You can check it out here.
In our journey to finding work that matters, I realized that we should have milestones to check on our progress. This morning, I thought about these two milestones:
- Creating your online resume and
- Landing a job
I’m done with my first milestone and I can already start looking for work online, which I’ll do starting tomorrow. But, here on the blog, I’ll walk you through how I created my online resume over the next few days or weeks. Also, I will update you with my progress on my second milestone in my post-scripts to see if what I'm doing really works.
I was able to create my online resume in a week because I’ve been blogging for two years. I already knew how to create web pages. Over the next few days or weeks, I’ll be sharing with you how to start your own blog and create web pages where you need to put your own online resume. Also, I’ll breakdown in detail why I prepared my online resume that way—the marketing side of the resume. I’ll be squeezing my two years experience of blogging and marketing in days or weeks. Sounds exciting?
For today, let me just share with you what I have been working on for the past couple of days—my online resume. (But, to be honest, I've been working on this for months already, albeit not consistently.)
P.S. My resume will always and forever be a work-in-progress. Over the next couple of days, I might also add some images to make my resume look more “alive.”
