No matter what the world led you to believe, in order to create art, you have to believe that you are an artist. You have to believe that you have what it takes to create art. You have to believe in your capacity to do work that matters. You have to believe that you can do it.
The world may have told you that mediocre is all you can be. Your failures and mistakes may have brought you down and kept you down. Your experiences may have wounded you so much that they made you settle for much less than you are capable of.
You have to believe that you are an artist because art starts with self-belief. This is the foundation on which the rest of this blog stands. Without this belief, you cannot create art.
